§ 2-230. Establishment and membership.

  • There is hereby created a city-school coordinating commission which shall consist of the following members:

    (1)

    Three (3) persons from the mayor's cabinet, or from department heads appointed by the mayor, who shall be appointed to the commission by the mayor and approved by city council;

    (2)

    Three (3) persons from the public schools administration who shall be nominated by the superintendent of schools and approved by the board of education;

    (3)

    Four (4) residents of the city, two (2) of whom shall be members of city council, appointed by the mayor, and approved by city council;

    (4)

    Four (4) residents of the city, two (2) of whom shall be members of the board of education, who shall be nominated by the president of the board of education, and approved by the board of education.
