Division 1. OLD HIRE POLICE PENSION PLAN |
§ 18-550. Definitions.
As used in this article, unless the context otherwise requires:
Fire and police pension association, or FPPA, means the political subdivision of the state created by section 31-31-201, C.R.S.
As used in this division:
Member means an active employee who is in the classified service of the police department who was hired before April 8, 1978, and who has not elected to become covered under the provisions of the statewide plan pursuant to section 31-31-701(2), C.R.S. The term also includes any former employee of the classified service of the police department who is retired and who meets these same criteria.
