§ 54-138. Prohibited operation of motorized vehicles for recreational purposes.

It shall be unlawful for any person to operate any motorized vehicle for recreational purposes anywhere within the city except upon the public streets, alleys, highways and freeways; provided, that owners of private property may apply to the traffic engineer for a permit allowing the operation of motorized vehicles for recreational purposes upon lands owned by the applicant. In determining whether or not to grant such permit, the traffic engineer shall take into consideration the applicable zoning ordinances.
