§ 54-136. Driving around or through barricades prohibited.

It shall be unlawful for any person to drive a vehicle around or through any barricade
which is placed around or near an excavation, or any other place where a barricade
is erected pursuant to the provisions of this Code; provided, however, that the driver
of a vehicle may drive the same around or through a barricade where the driver is
directed to do so by official signs, by a police officer, by a member of the fire
department, or by a person engaged in the work at the place where a barricade is erected,
but in any event such movement may only be made where it can be done with safety and
at a reduced speed.
