§ 54-77. Windshield wipers.

  • It shall be unlawful for any person to operate any motor vehicle within the city unless the front windshield of such vehicle is equipped with one (1) or more devices for removing water, snow or other moisture from the exterior of the windshield, which devices are so constructed as to be controlled and operated from the interior of the vehicle by the operator thereof. Such devices commonly known as windshield wipers shall be maintained in good working order and shall operate externally on both the left and right sides of the windshield when in operation, and shall operate and be operated, when necessary so as to provide the operator of the vehicle with clear and unobstructed vision through the windshield.
