§ 43-1. Speed—Districts defined.

  • For the purpose of fixing the rate of speed at which railroad companies and trustees and receivers thereof may operate trains, locomotives, engines and cars within the corporate limits of the city, the city is hereby divided into districts, which are severally numbered and described as follows:

    (1)

    District no. 1 shall extend from the Union Depot and the line of Seventeenth Street, southerly on the east side of the Platte River, to West Eighth Avenue.

    (2)

    District no. 2 shall extend from West Eighth Avenue, southerly on the east side of the river, to West Virginia Avenue.

    (3)

    District no. 3 shall extend from West Virginia Avenue, southerly on the east side of the river, to the south limits of the city.

    (4)

    District no. 4 shall extend from West Fourth Avenue, southerly on the west side of the river, to the south city limits of the city.

    (5)

    District no. 5 shall extend from the Platte River, westerly between West Colfax Avenue and West Fourth Avenue (and West Fourth Avenue extended) to the west city limits of the city.

    (6)

    District no. 6 shall extend from the Union Depot and Seventeenth Street, northerly to West Thirty-Fifth Avenue, and northeasterly to Twenty-Third Street.

    (7)

    District no. 7 shall extend from West Thirty-Fifth Avenue northerly, and from Twenty-Third Street northeasterly, to the north and east city limits of the city.
