§ 33.5-22. Registration.

(a)

No person shall be registered as a massage therapist by the department of excise and licenses until that person has submitted proof that he/she meets the definition of massage therapist in section 33.5-2 and the required registration fee has been paid.

(b)

On a form supplied by the director, the massage therapist shall provide complete disclosure of his/her education and experience as a massage therapist and swear that the disclosure is true.

(c)

The director shall provide each registered massage therapist with a certificate of registration.

(d)

A massage therapist shall provide a copy of a current certificate of registration and a disclosure of his/her education and experience to any patron upon request.
