§ 8-154. Disposition of unclaimed and unadopted animals which have bitten or injured persons or animals.

  • Any animal which is known to have bitten or injured any person so as to cause an abrasion of the skin, or any animal which, in the opinion of the executive director, appears to be infected with or exposed to rabies shall be impounded in the Denver Animal Shelter, or in such instances as may be determined by the executive director shall be closely confined by its owner or keeper for observation in accordance with the directions of the executive director. Disposition of such animal shall be made as directed by the executive director.
