§ 54-844. Penalties.

(a)

Criminal violations of this chapter are subject to the penalties established in subsection 1-13(a) except violations of article XIII of this chapter dealing with the weight and size of vehicles for which penalties shall be assessed according to a schedule adopted by the county court pursuant to section 54-706. The penalties in subsection 1-13(a) shall also apply to designated criminal violations for which a penalty assessment is not available under section 54-822 or where the defendant has refused to accept a penalty assessment notice under section 54-826.

(b)

Any person convicted of a criminal violation of this chapter may be sentenced to perform a certain number of hours of community or useful public service in addition to any other sentence, subject to the conditions and restrictions of Section 16-11-701, C.R.S.
