§ 54-132. Limitations on backing.

  • It shall be unlawful for the driver of a vehicle to back the same unless such movement can be made with safety and without interfering with other traffic, and unless the same is absolutely necessary because of the position of the vehicle. Nothing in this section shall be construed as permitting the driver of a vehicle to drive the same backwards except where such movement is necessary because of the position of the vehicle and the conditions existing at the time such movement is made.
