§ 54-130. Foreign matter on highway prohibited.

  • (a)

    It shall be unlawful for any person to cast, deposit, distribute, scatter, place or throw in any manner upon any highway, street, alley or public place any ashes, bottles, cans, garbage, glass, nails, tacks, rubbish, trash, waste paper, wire or any other material from any moving or standing motor vehicle or other vehicle or conveyance whatever.

    (b)

    Any person who drops, or permits to be dropped, cast, deposited, distributed, scattered, placed or thrown upon any highway, street, alley or public way or place any bottles, cans, garbage, glass, nails, tacks, rubbish, trash, waste paper, wire or any other material shall immediately remove the same, or cause it to be removed.

    (c)

    Any person removing a wrecked or damaged vehicle from a highway shall remove any glass or other injurious substance, material or object dropped upon the highway from such vehicle.
