§ 54-99. Uniformity of devices; prima facie evidence.

  • (a)

    All signs and signals required under this chapter for a particular purpose shall, so far as practicable, be uniform as to type throughout the city. All traffic-control devices so erected and not inconsistent with the provisions of this chapter shall be official traffic-control devices.

    (b)

    In any proceeding wherein the existence of an official or authorized traffic-control device is material to the issues, and it is shown that a traffic-control device did in fact exist, it will be presumed that the same was an official or authorized traffic-control device unless some evidence to the contrary appears.
