§ 54-97. Authority to install traffic-control devices.

  • The city traffic engineer shall place and maintain traffic-control signs, signals and devices when and as required under the provisions of this chapter, to make effective the provisions of this chapter and whenever on the basis of traffic engineering studies and investigations the traffic engineer shall determine the same to be necessary, the traffic engineer may place and maintain such additional traffic-control devices as the traffic engineer may deem necessary to regulate traffic under this chapter, or to guide or warn traffic.
