§ 53-35. Automotive vehicle—Registration license.

(a)

No registration certificate or license shall be issued by the manager for the operation of any automotive vehicle unless and until the tax levied by this article upon the purchase or sale of such vehicle has been paid.

(b)

No certificate of title evidencing ownership of any automotive vehicle shall be issued by the manager unless and until said tax upon the purchase or sale of such automotive vehicle has been paid.
