§ 49-651. Indemnification.

(a)

Any contractor, or any property owner who constructs, reconstructs or repairs a sidewalk or driveway in the public right-of-way without employing a contractor, shall, before commencing such work, agree to indemnify and save the city harmless from all claims or damages arising out of improper repair or maintenance of a deteriorated sidewalk or driveway.

(b)

The requirements of subsection (a) hereof shall be in addition to the requirements hereunder that such contractor must provide a bond and a guarantee, and that such property owner must provide a guarantee.
