Article IX. ENCUMBRANCES OF THE RIGHT-OF-WAY |
§ 49-254. Storage and loading.
(a)
It shall be unlawful to utilize any street, alley, sidewalk, parkway or other public place for the storage of goods, wares or merchandise.
(b)
Goods, wares and merchandise being received or shipped, not including vehicles, may remain on a sidewalk no longer than is necessary for loading or unloading purposes, provided a minimum of five (5) feet of sidewalk remains available for pedestrian traffic, and for these purposes such goods, wares and merchandise may be placed only along the four (4) feet of either the outer or the inner edge of the sidewalk in front of the establishment receiving or shipping same.
