§ 42-73. Assignment of corporal.

The chief of police may, in his or her discretion, assign any person who has attained the rank of police officer first grade to the duties of corporal in the police department. Any person assigned to the duties of corporal shall hold such assignment only as long as his or her services are satisfactory to the chief of police and only as long as the chief shall see fit to continue the assignment. The chief of police may, in his or her discretion, establish the qualifications and duties for the assignment of corporal.
