§ 42-1. Fees.

  • (a)

    Police records bureau fees. The fee charged by the records bureau of the police department for a search for an accident report or an offense report shall be ten dollars ($10.00). The bureau shall furnish a photocopy of such record at no cost.

    (b)

    Police identification bureau fees:

    (1)

    The fee charged by the identification bureau of the police department for a search for any record held by the bureau and available to persons qualified to inspect such records shall be fifteen dollars ($15.00).

    (2)

    The identification bureau shall charge a fee of twenty dollars ($20.00) for furnishing a record query letter.

    (3)

    The identification bureau shall charge a fee of ten dollars ($10.00) to take the fingerprints of a person making such request; and shall charge an additional fee of five dollars ($5.00) for each additional copy of the fingerprint card.

    (c)

    (d)

    Other fees. Copies of documents from any other division, bureau or agency of the police department shall be furnished to qualified persons for a reasonable fee, to be determined by the police department, in an amount that shall not exceed actual costs.
