§ 1-16. Amendments to the Charter.

  • Any amendment to the Charter that creates a new Charter department, agency, office, or position in the place of an existing Charter department, agency, office or position or redistributes powers and duties between existing Charter departments, agencies, offices or positions shall, as of the effective date of the amendment, without further amendment to any ordinances, contracts, rules, regulations, executive orders, policies or procedures be deemed to assign the functions, powers, and duties in all ordinances, contracts, rules, regulations, executive orders, policies or procedures from the prior Charter department, agency, office or position to the new Charter department, agency, office or position, unless specifically amended or cancelled within thirty (30) days of the effective date by the person holding the new Charter position. Unless specifically amended or cancelled, the ordinances, contracts, rules, regulations, executive orders, policies or procedures shall otherwise remain in full force and effect.
