§ 18-790. Fees for employee garnishments and income assignments.

(a)

The manager of finance is authorized to charge five dollars ($5.00) a month against the pay of an official or employee as a service fee to offset the costs of processing and complying with a writ of garnishment served on the manager of finance for collection against said official or employee.

(b)

The manager of finance is authorized to charge five dollars ($5.00) a month, or such other amount as authorized by state statute, against the pay of an official or employee as a service fee to offset the costs of processing and complying with a notice of income assignment for child support or maintenance served on the manager of finance for collection against said official or employee.

(c)

All fees collected shall be paid to the treasurer and credited to the general fund.
