§ 18-556. Rank escalator.

Whenever salaries in the police department are raised for the rank the member held at the time of retirement from active service, each member who has previously retired from active service and who is receiving a pension shall be entitled to an increase in the amount of pension, from and after the effective date of such raise in salary, equal to the percentage of salary received as a pension benefit as determined in section 18-554, multiplied by the dollar amount of the raise.
