§ 18-324. Educational refund committee.

  • (a)

    There is hereby created an educational refund committee, hereinafter referred to as the "committee," consisting of the Office of Human Resources Executive Director and four (4) members to be appointed by the mayor for three-year terms who shall serve without compensation. It shall be the duty of this committee to:

    (1)

    Establish standards, policies and procedures for program administration;

    (2)

    Provide oversight and ensure compliance with all standards and policies;

    (3)

    Review and approve accredited colleges/universities and the courses provided by them;

    (4)

    Review and approve written periodic budget reports from the Office of Human Resources related to the education refund program;

    (5)

    Act as a final board of review for any disputes relating to the education refund program which cannot be settled by the Office of Human Resources.

    (b)

    The decisions of the committee in approving or disapproving any actions in regard to reimbursement shall be final.
