§ 12-43. Bylaws and rules of procedure; meetings.

  • (a)

    The planning board shall make and adopt bylaws for governing its work and shall conduct its business in accordance with said bylaws and Robert's Rules of Order.

    (b)

    The planning board shall hold a minimum of one (1) meeting per month and such other meetings as are called by the manager or the chairman. The board shall keep appropriate minutes of its proceedings, which minutes shall be public records. The board may also report its nonofficial acts; provided, however, that if any such act is so reported, the report thereof shall contain the number of votes in favor of and the number of votes against the same and a summary of the basis of the votes for and the basis of the votes against, if any. The board shall act only at regular meetings, or at special meetings of which all of the members have been notified at least two (2) days in advance. Unless otherwise provided, no decision or other action of the board shall be official unless the concurring vote of the majority of the board members present or the concurring vote of five (5) members, whichever number is higher, is obtained.
